precursor to atlas shrugged
I'm currently reading Atlas Shrugged, and plan to post on it shortly, but I stumbled upon this glorious patent application for a "method of creating a video game":

Basically it's a patent published by an insane "Objectivist" who thinks you can patent a method for creating a video game where your actions have global implications and the game rewards good morals -- not to say that any philosophy can't be taken to its most insane, rambling extreme. So I'm seriously not trying to dig on Ayn Rand here before I've even read her book. But this is hilarious. It's like over 100 pages of him ranting and raving about everything he hates, of which fiat currency seems to be the top of the list, and how in this game, you can make it better.
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention that this guy is working on artificial retinas.
